Pennsylvania Sunday hours
Some are open
357 of 588 Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores have Sunday hours on the state's store list. 278 of those open 11 AM to 7 PM. The other 231 leave Sunday blank, which doesn't mean closed. Find your store by town on the Pennsylvania page.
- No state law closes these stores on Sunday. The PLCB picks which open and when.
- Two examples: Johnstown (opened January 2026) and Bridgeville (reopened October 2026) are open 11 AM to 7 PM on Sunday.
- Beer distributors with a Sunday permit can sell 9 AM to 9 PM. Restaurants and hotels with the right permits can sell wine to go 9 AM to 11 PM.

Where this comes from
- Since August 2016 there is no legal limit on Sunday or holiday hours for state stores. Before that, no more than a quarter of the stores could open on Sunday, and only from noon to 5 PM. The PLCB now decides when each store is open. (PLCB summary of Act 39 of 2016 (47 P.S. 1-102, 3-304), checked Oct 28, 2026)
- Beer distributors with a Sunday sales permit can sell beer on Sunday from 9 AM to 9 PM. (PLCB Sunday sales information, checked Oct 28, 2026)
- A restaurant or hotel with a wine expanded permit and a Sunday sales permit can sell wine to go on Sunday from 9 AM to 11 PM. (PLCB Sunday sales information, checked Oct 28, 2026)
- Act 39 of 2016 dropped the old limits, which let no more than a quarter of stores open on Sunday, and only noon to 5 PM.
