North Carolina Sunday hours
ABC stores are closed every Sunday.
G.S. 18B-802(b) says no ABC store shall be open, and no ABC store employee shall sell alcoholic beverages, on any Sunday. A local board can close its stores on other days. It cannot open them on Sunday.
Beer and wine at other shops follow a different rule. On Sunday those sales cannot start before noon, unless the city or county adopted a 10 AM start. That rule is not an ABC store hour.
